What group broadcast does
The module posts your announcement in Telegram group chats on behalf of your accounts. Each chat on the list is assigned to one account: it joins if it isn't a member yet, waits out a pause after joining and writes. The same chat never gets messages from several of your profiles at once.
It's meant for places where announcements are allowed: marketplaces, service chats, city and topic groups. It doesn't write to private messages — that's what direct messages are for.
Where to send
- a list — chat @usernames and t.me/+… invite links, one per line;
- a folder — a t.me/addlist/… link: the module takes the chats in it, and picks up chats added to the folder later on the next pass;
- only your own chats — a switch that keeps each account to the chats it's already a member of, with no joining.
The scraper helps you find chats for the list — by keyword search or through similar communities.
Rounds repeat the pass over the list with a rest between them. In that case turn off the option not to post twice in the same chat — otherwise the next round finds no new chats.
What to send
One announcement or a chain of up to 20 messages. Each can carry a photo, video, GIF or document — the text then becomes its caption. If Telegram doesn't accept the attachment, the message goes as text.
To keep the text from being identical in every chat:
- variants —
{Hi|Hello}: one is picked in each chat; - the chat name — inserted into the text automatically;
- the model — other words retells the announcement differently, per chat takes the chat's name and latest messages into account. If the model fails, the original text goes out.
Default settings
| Setting | Default |
|---|---|
| Pause between chats | 100–300 seconds |
| Pause between chain messages | 3–8 seconds |
| Wait after joining | 120 seconds, no less |
| Don't post twice in the same chat | on |
| Typing… status | on |
| Slow down accounts that aren't warmed up | on |
| Working hours | off |
Campaign limits per hour and per day can be switched on separately. Then the stricter of the two applies: the campaign's limit or the account's overall limit.
When a chat won't let you write
Chats block posting in different ways: slow mode, restrictions for newcomers, bans, a check on joining. The module first finds out what exactly is in the way:
- slow mode — the message is postponed until it passes;
- a member restriction — if it looks like a check on joining, the attempt is repeated later; otherwise the chat moves to another of your accounts;
- a second refusal, or a chat closed to everyone — the chat goes on the blacklist and the broadcast leaves it alone.
An account that Telegram has barred from writing in groups is taken off the broadcast until it's checked with @SpamBot. What that restriction is and what to do about it — see the guide on spam blocks.
Limits and account safety
Group messages and joins count towards the account's limits for each type of action, shared by all modules. If the account is joining chats for another campaign at the same time, together they won't exceed the join limit. New accounts get reduced limits that grow over the first week.
The module waits out FLOOD_WAIT and doesn't count it as an attempt; if they pile up, the account goes into quarantine. A run of errors caused by the account pauses the campaign, while refusals from the chats themselves don't stop it. More in the guides on FLOOD_WAIT and Telegram limits.
What the module doesn't do
- it doesn't add buttons under messages — Telegram only shows them for bots;
- it doesn't post in channels — only in groups where members may write;
- there's no trial run — it's easier to check the text on a test chat of your own;
- it doesn't promise the message will stay: chat admins and anti-spam bots may delete it.
Telegram and chat rules
Post where the chat's rules allow announcements. Members reporting spam is a common cause of a spam block: the account loses the ability to message strangers and post in groups. Pauses, limits and not posting twice in the same chat lower the risk, but they don't follow the rules for you.
